Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment or endodontic therapy is a dental operation in which the pulp (nerve and blood vessels) is cleaned out, the space disinfected, and then filled. For strength a post and dental crown is advised afterwards to complete the treatment.

Scaling & Cleaning

Scaling and cleaning removes the calculus that you can not remove from your teeth with your toothbrush. Regular visits help reduce inflammation, gingivitis and more serious conditions like periodontal disease from developing in future.

Teeth Whitening

Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in dentistry. Teeth can become stained by bacterial pigments, foodstuffs, and tobacco. Scaling and cleaning is recommended before commencing treatment to remove superficial stains on the tooth enamel.

Extractions

A dental extraction (also referred to as exodontia) is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, including tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to prevent restoration. Extractions are available at our surgery.

Gum treatments and deep cleaning

Deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planing, is a non-surgical treatment in which the causes of gum inflammation, dental plaque and calculus, are removed. This procedure helps to establish gums that are free of disease.

Dentures

A partial, or removable partial denture, provides replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons which is supported by the remaining teeth. A Full denture is a prosthetic device constructed to replace missing teeth which is typically supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. A denture is taken in and out of the mouth.

Crowns and Bridges

A crown refers to the restoration of teeth using materials that are fabricated by indirect methods which are cemented into place. A crown, or cap, is used to completely cover a tooth. A crown may be needed to restore a tooth for reasons including a significant loss of tooth structure, fractures, or after root canal treatment.

A bridge is a tooth replacement which fills in the gaps caused by missing teeth. We can provide you with strong monolithic zirconia crowns that are white, metal free and very strong.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of the mouth (teeth and gums), unlike traditional dentistry that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases. People seek cosmetic dentistry for a variety of reasons. Many people, who feel that their smile is unattractive, will rarely smile or cover their mouth with their hand whenever they laugh. There are many dental options available at our practice that can improve your smile. Contact us to book a consultation.
